- Farmer's Market a big hit
-
Editor,
Wow! We visited the New Farmer’s Market at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning and we were extremely surprised by the open, airy, uncluttered, well co-ordinated tables.Vegetables, eggs, cheese, meats, breakfast buns, coffee, crafts and much more.It reminded us of the markets we visited in Elmira, Ont., although on a much smaller scale.
We enjoyed one of those breakfast buns and chatted with friends, some of whom we hadn’t run into in ages. What they say about “Holmans, where old friends meet...” certainly rang true in our minds. It may not have the old name of Holmans on the outside but it still is on the Holman spirit on the inside. Our only disappointment was that we ate and chatted too long and when we ventured once again into the produce area, we found that all the veggies were just about gone. But that was our error.
Much praise to manager Gerry, produce people and craftspeople as you did a bang-up job and we’re going to shop this week instead of eating and talking first.
Congrats everyone, job well done and keep it up.
Rita & Tom Offer,
Clinton
